Halocarbon PCTFE oils have been proven to be extremely effective in the machining, forming or shaping of difficult to work refractory metals such as molybdenum, tungsten, niobium, tantalum and their alloys. This oil allows for better surface finish and extended tool life when compared to conventional metal working fluids. Historically, most Halocarbon oil grades (including 1.8 Oil to 1000N Oil) have proven to be superior in processing these refractory metals in very specific applications around the globe.
