ELDORADO ED-500 ALKALINE WATER-BASED CLEANER ELDORADO ED-500 is an alkaline, water-based, liquid, concentrated cleaner, used to remove oil, exhaust track film, and traffic film from aircraft exteriors. For cleaning aircraft interior surfaces, mix 1 part of ED-500 with 20 parts of water. Apply to surface being cleaned with a rag or window-cleaning bottle (spray-type). Pick up loosened dirt and ED-500 solution on a clean, dry rag. No other rinse is necessary. This procedure is used on hard, nonporous surfaces such as metal, wood, and vinyl plastic. For cleaning upholstery, rugs, and other soft surfaces, mix 1 part ED-500 with 10 parts’ water. Wet a fiber-bristled brush well with ED-500 solution and agitate the surface vigorously to generate foam. Pick up foam on a clean, dry rag.
