High temperature solid film lubricant
DESCRIPTION:
Siloxseal 225 is a high temperature coating composition containing graphite in a silicone
binder. This coating will air dry and is used to protect mating parts from seizing and
galling at temperatures up to 1200°F.

Thinner: Water-deionized, 10% by volume max.
Shelf Life: 1 year minimum
Clean Up: Warm Tap Water
VOC: .475#/gal.
Application:
Apply to a degreased and 120 to 150 mesh aluminum oxide grit blasted surface that is
clean and free of contaminates. Can be applied by spray, dip, or brush.
Cure:
Allow to air dry (approximately 15 to 20 minutes). Cure at 400°F for 1 hour or 520°F +
20°F for 30 minutes.
Removal of Coating:
If it should be necessary to remove the cured coating, it can be stripped by grit blasting or
use of an industrial paint stripper.
First Aid: In case of eye contact-immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least
15 minutes. Consult physician. For skin contact-flush with water.
Spillage: Mop up with water and dispose of in accordance with Federal, State, and
Local environmental regulations.
