Ultra accomplishes this through its extremely low back streaming characteristic, which is a consequence of its very high purity.
A five ring polyphenyl ether which provides an outstanding vacuum with low vapor pressure when used diffusion pumps and GC-MS systems. Santovac 5P Ultra has been purified to reduce the levels of 3 and 4 ring polyphenol ethers to less than 0.02% and 0.1% repectively. Santovac fluids are 100% PPE, containing only hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon, and are known for their low back-streaming characteristics.
